Abstract
The present Regulation is enacted under the Alberta Land Stewardship Act. In particular, the Regulation provide clear rules for a review of a regional plan, titleholders can apply for a variance to a plan and landowners can apply for compensation in appropriate cases. The Regulation supports also regional planning under Alberta's Land-Use Framework as set out in the afore-mentioned Act. The text consists of 37 sections divided into 4 Parts as follows: Request for review of original plan (1); Variances in respect of regional plan (2); Regional plan compensation (3); Expiry and coming into force (4).
