Abstract
The present Regulation enacts section 8 of the Plant Protection Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the control of domestic bacterial ring rot in potatoes. Section 3 establishes that any inspector appointed to carry out this Regulation may inspect any grower's crop in field or storage at any time. The text – consisting of 12 sections – deals with the following matters: detention of infected potatoes, examination of detained potatoes by plant pathologist, disposal of infected potatoes, disinfection of premises and equipment, infected land, planting after infection and offences.
