Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to the protection of potable water in the province of British Columbia. The minister may establish: a) guidelines that must be considered, and b) directives that must be followed by drinking water officers and other officials in exercising powers and performing duties or functions under this Act and the Health Act in relation to drinking water. Moreover, the the provincial health officer must monitor compliance of drinking water officers with guidelines and directives established under this section. The text consists of 105 sections divided into 6 Parts as follows: Introductory Provisions (1); Drinking Water Supply (2); Water System Assessments and Plans (3); Drinking Water Protection (4); Drinking Water Protection Plans (5); General (6).
