Abstract
The present Regulation is enacted under the Natural Products Act. The purposes of the Plan are to promote and regulate egg production and marketing in Nova Scotia, and in particular to: a) provide for a supply of eggs in volumes agreed upon with the Agency; and b) establish a framework for the Commodity Board to administer the Plan through activities including: i) setting quotas for egg producers, ii) setting quotas for pullet producers, iii) facilitating cooperation with marketing boards, marketing commissions or marketing agencies established by the Government of Canada or any province in Canada for the purpose of producing and marketing eggs, and iv) fixing fair or minimum market prices to be paid to a producer for eggs of any class, variety, grade, or size. The text consists of 14 sections.
