Abstract
The present Act prohibits the sale and lease of appliances not complying with the prescribed efficiency standards and not meeting the prescribed labelling requirements. Along with these general prohibitions, the Act regulates also inspection activities and contains provisions on enforcement and penalties. Under the Act, the Lieutenant Governor is empowered to pass regulations necessary for the implementation of the Act. The text consists of 38 sections divided into 3 Parts.
