Abstract
The text consists of 56 sections which are divided into four Parts: Administration (1); Crown timber (2); General (3); Offences and penalties (4). Part 1 provides for regulation-making powers of the Lieutenant Governor in Council and the Minister, appointment of forest officers, delegation and other administrative matters. Part 2 applies to Crown timber. The Minister may enter into forest management contracts (sect. 14). Quotas of timber shall be allocated to established forest management units (sect. 15). Quota holders can obtain timber licences (sect. 19).
