Abstract
The present Regulations is enacted under the Forest Act. In particular, the Regulations lays down provisions relating to the management of timber. Section 3 establishes that the director may on behalf of the Crown sell timber quotas by tender, by auction or by direct sale. The holder of a timber quota shall obtain a timber licence pursuant to section 21 of the Act to these Regulations authorizing the harvest of the timber to which he is entitled by virtue of his quota. The text consists of 176 sections divided into 7 Parts as follows: Quotas (1); Sales (2); Other permits and licences (3); Crown charges (4); Timber harvesting (5); Reforestation (6); Miscellaneous (7). Seven Schedules are enclosed.

For the purposes of ensuring that this Regulation is reviewed, this Regulation expires on April 30, 2020.
