Abstract
This Regulation concerns the operation of the Livestock Patron’s Assurance Fund which can be accessed in case of loss caused by the failure of the dealer to account to or make settlement with the patron for the value of the prescribed livestock supplied. The Regulation specifies which are the classes of animals in respect of which a payment from the Fund may be made and sets the conditions for payment (sect. 4). Section 5 prescribes that a patron who sales prescribed livestock to a licensed livestock dealer shall pay to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development a levy for each head of prescribed livestock sold. Section 9 determines which is the maximum amount of payment that a patron can receive from the Fund. (11 sections)

This Regulation repeals the Livestock Patron's Assurance Fund Regulation (AR 451/83).The present Regulation is repealed since 24 June 2003.
