Abstract
This Act, made by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of the Commons of Canada, concerns the management of water resources in Northwest Territories. The Act consists of 51 sections and addresses all matters related to water resources. The Act is divided into the following parts: Short Title, Interpretation, General, Use of waters, Deposit of waste, Northwest Territories Water Board, Objects and powers of Board, Public hearing and procedure, Public register, Decisions and orders, Rights and duties of licensees and others, Regulations and orders, Enforcement, Offences and punishment, Transitional provisions and Consequential amendments.
