Ontario Water Resources Act (R.S.O. 1990, c. O. 40).

This Act concerns the use of water resources in Ontario. It consists of into 116 sections and is divided into 13 parts: Administration, Water, Wells, Water Works, Sewage Works, Projects, Agreements, Public Water or Sewerage Service Area, Regulations, Work to be done by the Minister, Records of Site Condition, Special Provisions Applicable to Municipalities etc. and Miscellaneous. The Act also intends to protect the quality of water resources and sets water quality standards.
