Abstract
This Regulation governs the sale and purchase of eggs and eggs’ products, defined as the frozen form, dried form or liquid form of (i) whole egg without the shell, (ii) egg yolk, or (iii) egg albumen, or any combination thereof (sect. 1). It contains provisions, among others, on containers’ marking (sect. 3), on grading (sect. 4) and on duties of operators of egg grading stations (sects. 9-12). The Regulation also contains provisions on the detention of eggs and egg products which can be decided by inspectors and on the preservation and disposal of detained products (sects. 14-19).
Entry into force notes
For the purpose of ensuring its revision, this Regulation expires on 31 March 2019.

This Regulation repeals The Purchase and Sale of Eggs Regulation (AR 251/90), Purchase and Sale of Egg Product Regulations (AR 39/77), Poultry and Poultry Products Licensing Regulation (AR 249/90), Poultry and Poultry Products Application and Licence Form Regulation (AR 194/77) and Poultry and Poultry Products Licensing Fees Regulation (AR 250/90).With amendments up to and including Alberta Regulation 174/2018.
