Abstract
The present Regulations enact the Electricity Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to standards concerning renewable energy. At the outset the Regulations contain a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as, for example, “independent power producer”, “renewable energy generator”, “renewable energy generation facility”, “renewable energy standard”, “renewable low impact electricity”. The text - consisting of 14 sections - deals with the following aspects: renewable energy standard 2010, renewable energy generation facility certification, administrator’s powers, reporting requirements, review by Board, appeals to the Board, Board powers, standard shortfall and penalties and enforcement.
Entry into force notes
The present Regulations enter into force on 1 February 2007.
Notes
The present Regulations include amendments up to 6 October 2009.
