Abstract
The present Regulations enact section 25 of the Environmental Protection Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the removal of sands from beach. Section 2 establishes that no person shall remove or cause to be removed sand from a beach or sand dune for any purpose unless he has first obtained a permit from the Minister authorizing the removal. The text - consisting of 6 sections – deals with the following matters: application procedures, sand from other location, terms, obligation of permit holder and revocation of permit.

The present Regulations are current to 1 February 2004.The present Regulations are revoked by EC2009-552 the Sand Removal from Beaches Regulations Revocation on 31 OCtober 2009.
