Abstract
This Regulation deals with Small Business Forest Enterprises and is divided up into 8 parts as follows: 1 Interpretation; 2 Categories; 3 Registration, category 1; 4 Registration, category 2; 4.1 Registration, category 3; 5 Determining number of licences or aggregate allowable annual cut; 6 Registration; 7 Bidding and 8 Fees. The relevant provisions which of the Forest Act this Regulation enacts state that the Minister or a person authorized by the Minister may specify that applications for Forest Licences and Timber Sale Licences are to be accepted only from one or more categories of small business forest enterprises as established by regulation. This Regulation establishes 3 categories of small business forest enterprises, and details the requirements for each. This Regulation outlines various exempt matters in determining the number of licences or aggregate allowable annual cut. Registration lasts for a period of 2 years and may be renewed and pre-registration fees are outlined.
