Abstract
This Act regulates forestry in British Columbia and has 13 Parts, which in turn are subdivided into Divisions as follows: Definitions and interpretation (1); Classification and management of forests and forest land and regulation of cutting rates (2); Disposition of timber by the Government (3): Forms of rights to Crown timber (div. 1), Forest licences (div. 2), Timber sale licences (div. 3), Forest licence and timber sale licence area restrictions (div. 4), Timber licences (div. 5), Tree farm licences (div. 6), Pulpwood agreements (div. 7), Woodlot licences (div. 8), Miscellaneous (div. 9); General tenure provisions (4): Interpretation (div. 1), Transfer and exchange (div. 2), Extensions, increases, deletions and reductions (div. 3), Suspension and cancellation (div. 4), Eligibility of applicants (div. 5); Timber marking (5); Timber scaling (6); Payments to Government (7); Roads and right of way (8); Marine log salvage (9); Manufacture in British Columbia (10); Recovery of money, miscellaneous (11); Reviews, Appeals, Regulations, Penalties (12), and Designated Areas (13).
