Abstract
The present Regulations are made under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to protection of population from hazardous coating materials. Section 2 establishes that the advertising, sale and importation of a surface coating material are authorized only if the requirements of these Regulations are met. The Regulations outlines the maximum concentration of total mercury and lead present in recycled surface coating materials. The text consists of 11 articles.
