Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to protect the public by addressing or preventing dangers to human health or safety that are posed by consumer products in Canada, including those that circulate within Canada and those that are imported. The text - consisting of 76 sections – deals with the following aspects: prohibitions, tests, studies, inspection, procedures following seizure, injunctions, regulations, administrative monetary penalties, general provisions and coming into force. Two Schedules are enclosed.
