Abstract
The present Regulations lay down the discipline of exporting meat and by-products of several animals. As general rule the holder of a wildlife export permit is entitled to export dead wildlife specified in the permit. No person shall export outside the Territories the meat of barren-ground caribou taken under the authority of a commercial tag in Wildlife Management Barren-Ground Caribou Areas N/BC/08 and N/BC/11. No person shall export meat taken under the authority of a commercial tag unless that person is the holder of a licence to deal in the meat of game; or the holder of a commercial wildlife licence. e Superintendent may, for the purpose of feeding patients and students respectively, obtain and export the following to hospitals and student hostels: (a) caribou killed under a commercial tag; (b) polar bear killed under a commercial tag; (c) muskox killed under a commercial tag; (d) arctic hare; (e) snowshoe hare; (f) muskrat; (g) beaver; (h) lynx.
