Abstract
The present Cantonal Ordinance implements the Federal Law on protection of the environment of 7 October 1983. In particular, its purpose is to indicate the competences and financing of measures for the protection of the environment by the Canton, districts and townships etc. The cantonal Environment Office shall cooperate with such bodies which shall deal with matters such as waste management, clean air, noise protection and soil protection, and so on. The text consists of 40 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provision (I); Waste management (II); Clean air, noise protection, soil protection (III); Financing (IV); Proceedings (V); Penalties, transitional and final provisions (VI).
