Abstract
The decision establishes cantonal herd‑protection support under Article 19a of the Agriculture Act, complementing federal measures through co‑financing and targeted assistance for summer grazing. It sets annual contributions for secure overnight housing of goat herds, with conditions on full‑season application, correct animal registration, and exclusion of payments where night‑time wolf attacks occur outside protected housing. It authorises cantonal funding for technical aids and for cantonally recognised livestock guardian dogs, while excluding dogs already supported at federal level. The Agriculture Office is responsible for implementation, annual notifications serve as applications, payments are issued by year‑end, and force‑majeure cases require reporting.
