Abstract
The present Law implements the Federal Environment Protection Act of 7 October 1983. In particular, the present Law regulates the allocation of tasks between the local and cantonal authorities. The text consists of 61 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Protection against emission (II); Hazardous substances (III); Waste disposal (IV); Soil pollution (V); Environmental disasters (VI); Jurisdiction (VII); Penalties (VIII); Final provisions (IX).
