Abstract
The present Law implements the Federal Environment Protection Act of 7 October 1983 and the related Ordinances. In particular, the Law deals with the division of competences between the Canton and municipalities. The text consists of 67 articles divided into 13 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Environmental impact assessment (II); Air pollution (III); Noise pollution (IV); Quakes (V); Non-ionising radiation, inclusive light (VI); Prevention of disasters and accidents (VII); Substances hazardous to the environment (VIII); Organisms hazardous to the environment (IX); Waste disposal (X); Polluted sites (XI); Soil protection (XII); Final provisions (XIII).
