Abstract
The present Law implements the federal legislation on protection of the environment and lays down cantonal provisions for the protection of human beings, animals and plants against harmful effects. The Law consists of 66 articles divided into 14 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); General measures (II); Protection against disasters and damages (III); Plants and enterprises relevant to the environment (IV); Waste disposal (V); Protection against noise and sound, vibrations (VI), Protection against laser radiation and excessive light (VII); Air pollution (VIII): Non-ionizing radiation (IX); Soil protection (X); Environmental assessment impact (XI); Provisions on proceedings (XII); Penalties and legal protection (XIII); Transitional and final provisions (XIV).
