Abstract
The present Law enforces the Federal Fisheries Act of 21 June 1991. In particular, the present Law regulates the enforcement of the Fedeal Fisheries Act and the associated Ordinances and aims to: a) conserve, improve or if possible re-instal the natural biodiversity of fish and the stock of native fish, crustaceans and fish food organism and their habitata; b) protect endangered species and breeds of fish and crustaceans; c) ensure a sustainable exploitation of fish and crayfish stock; d) promote fisheries reseaerch; e) reulate the management of cantonal fishing waters. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Fishing (2); Protection and explopitation of fish and crustaceans and their habitats (3); Implementation (4); Final provisions (5).
