Abstract
The present Law aims to protect nature and landscape, as well as to promote the quality of living in the Canton Basel-Stadt. In particular, to: a) protect cultural heritage; b) conserve native plants and animals species, as well as to ensure and promote their habitats; c) conserve and promote sustainable eco-systems. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Purpose (A); Objects worth protecting (B); Protective measures (C); Compensation and contributions to third parties (D); Organization (E); Enforcement (F); Objections and complaints of nature protection organizations (G); Penalties (H); Final provisions (I).
