Abstract
The present Ordinance on viticulture lays down provisions relating to wine growing in the Canton of Schwyz. The Central Office for Fruit and Wine Growing is in charge of the implementation of provisions relating to viticulture. In particular, it is competent to authorize new varieties of vine plants, keep a register of all vine plants, especially of their origin, collect data on wine growing firms, inspect and monitor grape harvests, establish quantities allowed to be produced; classify grape harvests and, finally, order the eradication of vineyards illegally planted. The text consists of 11 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Competences (I); Vine plants (II); Marking of vine plants (III); Final provisions (IV).
