Abstract
The purpose of the present Law ist to regulate the flood control system, the water police, the use of water and water supply system. In particular, it deals with the following matters: public waters, surface waters, expropriation proceedings, terms of reference, potable water supply, concessions, fees, administrative proceedings; hydropower generation, freshwater resources management and abstraction of groundwater. The text consists of 85 articles divided into 8 chapters as follows: General provisions (I); Flood protection and hydraulic engineering (II); Water supply system (III); Use of water in general (IV); Use of water in particular (V); Penalties (VI); Final and transitional provisions (VII).
