Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Marine Resources Act, 2005, declare Aitutaki and Manuae Bonefish fishery to be a Designated Fishery in terms of section 6 of the Act and declare the Aitutaki and Manuae Bonefish fishery Plan to be approved by the Secretary. The Plan provides rules for fishing activities and provides for the management of the bonefish fish resources in accordance with the Plan, also for the benefit of the Aitutaki community. It establishes the Aitutaki and Manuae Bonefish Management Committee and introduces management and conservation measures for the protection of ecosystems,
