Abstract
The purpose of these Measures is to regulate the physical hazard identification and classification of chemicals. The Measures consist of 23 Articles divided into 4 Chapters: General Provisions; Physical Hazard Classification and Identification; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions.
Article 3 gives the definition of physical hazard identification and classification of chemicals. The State Administration of Work Safety shall be responsible for: guiding, supervising and administrating the physical hazard identification and classification of chemicals in the whole country; announcement of the list of appraisal institutions for physical hazards of chemicals and the catalogue of chemicals exempted from physical hazard identification and classification; establishment of a technical committee for physical hazard identification and classification of chemicals. The Measures provide for the content, procedures and requirements to be satisfied for physical hazards identification, classification and arbitration, and the relevant contents of the joint identification and classification.
