Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of 33 Articles, are formulated in accordance with the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Specialized Farmers’ Cooperatives in order to confirm the farmer specialized cooperative’s status of the legal person, and regulate the registration of specialized farmers’ cooperatives.
The establishment, alteration and cancellation of specialized farmers’ cooperatives, shall go through the formalities for registration according to the provisions in these Regulations and the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Specialized Farmers’ Cooperatives (art. 2). Specialized farmers’ cooperatives receive business licenses by the registration in accordance with law, and obtain legal personality (art.3). The administrative departments for industry and commerce at county or city level are the registration authorities. The administrative department for industry and commerce under State Council may make special provisions for the registration of large-scale or cross-region farmers’ cooperatives (art.4).
The Regulations further address the offences and penalties.
