These Standards are formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Animal Epidemic Prevention, the Regulations on the Management of Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Institutions, and the Measures for the Administration of Practicing Veterinarians and Rural Veterinarians, aiming to standardize the management of animal diagnosis and treatment medical records.
Animal diagnosis and treatment institutions should establish a medical records management department or designate a dedicated person responsible for medical records management and establish sound medical records management systems. Medical records should include basic information, medical records, prescriptions, examination reports, imaging examination data, pathological data, informed consent forms, etc. Animal diagnosis and treatment institutions may add relevant content according to the needs of diagnosis and treatment activities.
