Administrative Measures for Veterinary Practitioners and Rural Veterinarians.

These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China, aiming to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of practicing veterinarians and rural veterinarians, standardize animal diagnosis and treatment activities, and ensure animal health and public health safety. The Mmeasures consist of 42 Articles divided into 5 Chapters: General provisions (I); Diagnosis and treatment license (II); Management of diagnosis and treatment activities (III); Legal liability (IV); Supplementary provisions(V).
Institutions engaged in animal diagnosis and treatment activities shall obtain an animal diagnosis and treatment license and carry out animal diagnosis and treatment activities within the prescribed scope of diagnosis and treatment activities. Animal diagnosis and treatment institutions shall use veterinary instruments and veterinary drugs in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State, and shall not use unqualified veterinary instruments, fake and substandard veterinary drugs, and drugs or other compounds prohibited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
