Announcement No. 6 [2018] of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Customs—on Adjusting the Catalogue for the Management of the Import of Solid Wastes.

For the purposes of further regulating the management of the import of solid wastes and preventing and controlling environmental pollution, according to the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environment Pollution Caused by Solid Wastes, the Measures for the Management of the Import of Solid Wastes and other relevant laws and regulations, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Customs have made adjustments to the Catalogue of Solid Wastes that Can Be Used as Raw Materials under Import Restrictions, and the Catalogue of Solid Wastes that Can Be Used as Raw Materials Not under Import Restrictions and the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Prohibited from Importation currently in force.
32 kinds of solid wastes, which are listed in the Annexes, including waste ships, industrial waste plastics, etc, are transferred from the Catalogue of Solid Wastes that Can Be Used as Raw Materials under Import Restrictions into the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Prohibited from Importation.
