Abstract
These Rules are developed in accordance with the Provisions on the Protection of Products with Geographical Indications.
The main duties of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (“GAQSIQ”) for the nationwide administration of the protection of products with geographical indications (PGIs) are to: (1) draft laws and regulations on the protection of products with geographical indications; (2) develop and issue rules on the protection of PGIs; (3) administer the protection of PGIs in a centralized manner; (4) organize, coordinate and guide the administrative law enforcement activities concerning the protection of PGIs; etc.
