Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Pesticide Industry (National Standard GB 21523—2024).

To implement laws and regulations including the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Marine Environment Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, to protect the environment, prevent and control pollution, and promote technological advancements in production processes and pollution treatment for the pesticide industry, this Standard is established. The Standard specifies the water pollutant discharge control requirements, monitoring requirements, and supervision and management requirements for pesticide industrial enterprises and their production facilities. The discharge management of water pollutants from centralized wastewater treatment facilities in the pesticide industry shall comply with this standard. Pursuant to relevant legal provisions, this standard is legally binding and mandatory.
