Measures for Administration of Forest and Wildlife Nature Reserves.

These Measures, consisting of 17 articles, are formulated in accordance with the Forestry Law of the People's Republic of China.
The nature reserves of forests and wild animals (hereinafter referred to as nature reserves ) are divided into the categories of the national nature reserve and the local nature reserve. The national nature reserves shall be managed by the Ministry of Forestry or the competent forestry authorities of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. The local nature reserves shall be managed by the competent forestry authorities at or above the county level. The nature and scope of nature reserves shall not be changed without approval. The natural environment and natural resources of nature reserves are managed by the administrative agencies of nature reserves. Without the approval of the Ministry of Forestry or the competent forestry authorities of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, no entity or individual shall enter into the nature reserves to establish institutions and facilities.
