Abstract
These Measures aim to regulate the registration of health food, ensure the quality thereof, and protect the human health and safety. The Text consists of 9 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Product Registration Application and Approval (II); Raw and Auxiliary Materials (III); Labels and Instructions for Use (IV); Testing and Inspection (V); Re-registration (VI); Review (VII); Legal Liabilities (VIII); Supplementary Provisions (IX).
The Measures provide for the procedures, conditions and requirements for health food registration. Article 2 gives definition of health food. The health food registration competent authority is the State Food and Drug Administration, which is responsible for the examination and approval of health food registration.
