Measures for the assessment of grass seed inspectors.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the administration of grass seed inspectors' assesssment and improve the level of grass seed inspection. The Measures consist of 25 articles divided into 4 Chapers: General Provisions (I); Application, Assessment and Issuing the Certifacates (II); Certificate Administration (III); Supplementary Provisions.
A seed inspector shall fulfil conditions outlined in article 4. Applications for a grass seed inspector qualification shall be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture or the competent grassland authorities at the provincial level (art. 5). The assessment of the grass seed inspector qualifications shall include assessment of professional knowledge and that of operational skills. A seed inspector certificate shall be the testimonial for a seed inspector as qualified for engaging in seed quality inspection, which shall be valid throughout China. Assessment authorities shall establish archives for grass seed inspectors. The issuance, cancellation, changes, etc. of grass seed inspector certificates shall be published periodically by the assessment authority.
