Abstract
These Measures, consisting 38 Articles, provide for the rules, requirements and procedures governing fishery productive activities in the waters of Gansu province. The Text is divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions (I); Development, utilization and management of fishery waters (II); Increase and protection of fishery resources (III); Establishment of fishery supervision and administration institutions (IV); Penalties (V); Supplementary provisions (VI).
The Text addresses the issues of planning water areas, the right to use water areas devoted to the development of aquaculture, fishing authorization, enforcement, conservation measures, fishery resource protection and enhancement fees, offences and penalties. The waters and the facilities, tools, products of entities and individuals which have obtained fishing licenses or aquaculture licenses shall be protected by law (art.11).
