Abstract
These Measures, consisting of are formulated in accordance with the Animal Husbandry Law, the Regulations on Swine Slaughter Management, aiming to ensure the supply and quality safety of pork products in remote and inaccessible rural areas.
The Measures define the criteria for site selection, operational conditions, and regulatory oversight. Sites must be located away from urban centers and existing slaughterhouses, with a maximum annual slaughter capacity of 20,000 pigs. Facilities must meet hygiene, environmental, and veterinary standards, and be staffed by certified personnel. Approval involves multi-level government coordination and registration in the national livestock slaughter management system. Once operational, sites are subject to regular inspections and must comply with strict quality and safety protocols. Meat products are limited to local distribution, and violations such as slaughtering diseased pigs or selling uninspected meat are punishable by law.
