Abstract
These Measures, consisting of 7 Articles, are enacted in accordance with the with the Plant Quarantine Regulations and the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Plant Quarantine Regulations (Agricultural Part), aiming to strengthen the management of plant quarantine officers.
The plant quarantine officers referred to in these Measures are full-time plant quarantine officers. Article 2 provides for the plant quarantine officer appointment procedures. The plant quarantine officers shall be recommended by the agricultural administrative departments of prefectures and counties. The provincial plant quarantine organs shall be responsible for the assessment, and the Agricultural Department shall be responsible for the examination and approval. The certificates for plant quarantine officers shall be issued by the National Plant Protection Station of the Ministry of Agriculture.
