Measures for the management of position monitoring of ocean going fishing vessels.

These Measures are enacted to strengthen the management of ocean fisheries, strictly implement the national ocean fishery support policy, ensure the safety of ocean fishing vessels, promote the orderly development of ocean fisheries, fulfill relevant international obligations, and meet the requirements of international fishery management. These Measures consist of 32 articles divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions; Installation of fishing vessel position monitoring equipment; Daily report and monitoring of fishing vessel position; Use and maintenance of fishing vessel position monitoring equipment; Supervision and management; Other matters.
Fishing vessels (including fishery auxiliary vessels) approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to engage in offshore fishery production shall install vessel position monitoring equipment and be included in the offshore fishing vessel position monitoring system of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
