Abstract
These measures, consisting of 33 articles, are formulated for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Specialized Farmers’ Cooperatives.
A specialized farmers’ cooperatives shall be registered by the Industrial and Commercial Administration according to law, in order to receive business license and obtain legal personality (art. 3). The legitimate rights and interests of specialized farmers’ cooperatives and their members are protected by law (art. 4).
The agriculture administrative departments of People's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the guidance, support and services of the construction and development of specialized farmers’ cooperatives.
The Text further specifies the membership and structure of a cooperative and particulars for the registration and cancellation of membership. It provides for the management and administration of cooperatives and their funds and properties, support policies, offences and penalties.
