Abstract
The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the supervision and administration of food safety in the circulation links and maintain a good order of the food market.
The Measures prohibit the sale of food whose labels, marks or instructions do not live up to the food safety standards as specified in the text. Food business operators have to obtain a Food Circulation Permit and a business licence in order to undertake food business activities.
The Measures set out requirements that enterprises engaged in food business and food business operators shall meet to guarantee food safety.
The Measures further provide for: food safety supervision and administration; inspection procedures; food accidents; legal responsibilities; etc.
