Measures of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on the implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Promotion of Agricultural Technology.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen agricultural technology extension service, promote the application of achievements in agricultural scientific research and new technology, promote the adjustment of agricultural structure, change the mode of agricultural development, and promote the modernization of agriculture. the Measures consist of 20 Articles.
The Measures provide mainly for: (i) the functions and duties of agricultural technology extension institutions, the village agricultural technology integrated service stations and farmer technicians; (ii) the integration of key agricultural technology extension projects into scientific development planning; (iii) the policies and measures to secure and increase agricultural technology extension funds, ensure working conditions of agricultural technology extension institutions, and improve working and living conditions of specialized technical personnel. In addition, the Measures provide for the offences and penalties.
