Law of the People's Republic of China on the Popularization of Agricultural Technology.

This Law is formulated in order to strengthen agricultural engineering extension, to advance the application of achievement in agricultural scientific research and new technology, to ensure agriculture development and to realize agricultural modernization. It consists of five chapters. In chapter one General Provision, it defines agricultural engineering as the achievement in scientific research and practical technology of plant, forestry, graziery and fishery. it defines agricultural engineering extension as the activities of dissemination of agriculture technology that is applicable to the whole process of agricultural production, including experiment, presentation, training and guiding. Chapter two System of Agricultural Engineering Extension, it legislates the responsibilities of the agricultural engineering extension organization, and the requirement of the staff. Chapter three Extension and Application of Agricultural Engineering, any activities shall obey the principle of volunteer and carried out free of charge. In chapter four Safeguard, it regulates the steps that the government at all level shall undertake to ensure the activities of extension. Chapter five is Supplementary Provisions.
