Abstract
These Measures, consisting of 38 Articles, are formulated for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Specialized Farmers’ Cooperatives.
The scope of activities and services engaged in by specialized farmers’ cooperatives shall be: (a) farming, forest, livestock breeding and aquaculture; (b) marketing and processing, storage and transport of agricultural products; (c) agricultural technology services; (d) the rural public water supply services; (e) agriculture machinery services; (f) ecological tourism and rural folklore tourism; (g) the rural family handicrafts; (h) other agricultural production and business activities as provided for in laws and regulations(art.9).
These Measures address the establishment and operation of specialized farmers’ cooperatives and the relevant issues of administration, guidance, support policies and services, offences and penalties, etc.
For establishment of a specialized farmers’ cooperative, an application for establishment registration shall be made to the competent authority and the business license of the specialized farmers’ cooperative as a legal person be obtained according to law (atr.8).
