Abstract
These Measures are formulated in order to ensure the quality and safety of meat products, strengthen the management of meat product sales, maintain and improve a unified, open, competitive, and orderly order of meat product sales, safeguard the consumption safety of the people, and meet the special needs of ethnic minorities.
The Measures consist of 13 Articles divided into 4 Chapters: General provisions; Record registration; Sales management; Supplementary provisions.
When designated slaughterhouses (sites), markets, meat wholesalers, and retailers of livestock and poultry register, they shall provide complete information. All copies of certificates, licenses, and supporting materials shall be stamped with the red seal of the enterprise, and they shall be responsible for the authenticity of the materials provided (art.5). Meat products slaughtered and processed by designated livestock and poultry slaughterhouses (sites) that meet the conditions prescribed in Article 8 can be sold in the market of the entire Ningxia region.
