Abstract
The purpose of these Provisions is to strengthen the supervision and administration of overseas enterprises producing imported foods. Text consists of 23 Articles divided into 4 Chapters: General provisions; Registration conditions and procedures; Administration of Registration; Supplementary provisions.
These Provisions shall apply to the registration, supervision and administration of foreign enterprises engaging in the production, processing, and storage of food exported to China (hereinafter referred to as “foreign enterprises producing imported food”). The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine (AQSIQ) shall uniformly administer the registration of foreign enterprises producing imported food. The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) shall organize and implement the registration, supervision, and administration of foreign enterprises producing imported food (art.3). The Catalog for the Implementation of Registration of Foreign Enterprises Producing Imported Food shall be formulated and adjusted by the CNCA and issued by the AQSIQ. The CNCA shall separately formulate and issue the registration appraisal procedures and technical requirements for different categories of products in the Catalog. Products of a foreign enterprise producing imported food listed in the Catalog may be imported after the foreign enterprise is registered.
