Abstract
These Provisions, consisting of 9 Articles, are enacted to strengthen the supervision and management of labeling and product instructions of dietary supplements.
These Provisions governs all domestic and imported health food sold in China. The name, function, effective ingredients, suitable people and approval number of dietary supplements must be consistent with the contents specified in the approval certificate of dietary supplement issued by the Ministry of health. The content of the labeling shall conform to the quality requirements of the product. It is not allowed to describe or imply the health care function of dietary supplements with false, exaggerated or deceptive words, figures, symbols, or to describe or imply that dietary supplement have the functions of treating diseases.
